The lineup for the cast of Survivor’s 47th season has been officially revealed. Recently, the show has been in the spotlight as host Jeff Probst has been hinting at the upcoming milestone Survivor season 50, anticipated to be a significant event for this long-running reality competition. However, before CBS and Jeff can proceed with filming that landmark season, expected to be broadcast in spring 2026, there are three more seasons to tackle, starting with Survivor season 47, set to air this fall. This announcement follows the conclusion of Survivor season 46, where Kenzie Petty emerged victorious over Charlie Davis and Ben Katzman at the final Tribal Council.
CBS has officially disclosed the cast for Survivor season 47, featuring comedian and podcast host Jon Lovett.
Once again, the new season will showcase 18 fresh competitors tasked with outlasting one another in the wilds of Fiji. This ensemble includes comedian and podcast host Jon Lovett, as reported by EW. Beyond his entertainment career, Jon served as a speechwriter for former President Barack Obama.

Will Jon Lovett Endure the Challenges in Fiji?
Joining the competition are freelance writer Teeny Chirichillo, e-sports commentator Rome Cooney, marketing manager Anika Dhar, athlete marketing manager Terran “TK” Foster, flight attendant Tiyana Hallums, graphic designer Rachel LaMont, corporate lawyer Genevieve Mushaluk, radio show host Gabe Ortis, construction worker Kyle Ostwald, ER doctor Kishan Patel, sports reporter Sam Phalen, AI research assistant Andy Rueda, flight school owner Sue Smey, strategy consultant Caroline Vidmar, IT consultant Aysha Welch, nurse Sierra Wright, and medical device salesperson Solomon “Sol” Yi. CBS describes Survivor 47 as a “twist-packed season,” with the game initially dividing into three tribes, each consisting of six players.
Survivor has previously featured notable personalities, such as Lisa Whelchel from The Facts Of Life. Nevertheless, Jon might fly under the radar given his lower recognition outside political circles. If any of the cast members are political enthusiasts, they may identify him, but otherwise, he might conceal his true profession. It will be intriguing to see if he reveals his real job when questioned. If he chooses to conceal it, another contestant aware of his background could potentially expose him.

Jon’s political background could offer him a strategic edge. His experience may aid him in maneuvering through the game’s social dynamics. As a former speechwriter, Jon’s eloquence could become a significant asset, particularly during Tribal Councils, where he could craft persuasive arguments to ensure his survival and influence eliminations. Should he reach the Final 3, these skills could prove invaluable. Regardless of the outcome, Jon and the other 17 contestants are about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime.
Survivor season 47 debuts on September 18 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
